Traditional Art

Latest Updates!

These pieces consist of collected drawings and paintings I produced throughout my four year period of studies in South India.

Each of the drawings represents particular aspects of the traditional iconometry and iconography, which have their roots in the ancient Shilpa Sastra texts.

The paintings present some of the different styles, colors and methods of Indian painting, which I had the opportunity to learn. From Master Thirugnama I learned how to use water colors to reproduce the beauty and colors of the ancient painters. I also received certificates for studying Thangka painting of Nepal and Tibet, mural painting of Kerala and mask making as well as painting of Jharkhand.
